Peter Moody’s Lights Of Heaven gets the chance to redeem herself on Saturday in the group 1 Underwood Stakes at Caulfield over
1800m.
This four year old is looking for her first Spring win after taking runner up in the group 2 Lawrence Stakes before finishing outside the placings for the first time in the Makybe Diva Stakes on 3rd September at Flemington.
With usual partner Luke Nolan suspended she goes with her Lawrence Stakes jockey Ben Melham on board from barrier three on Saturday. Add blinkers for the first time and she has a quote of $4.50 to relish the extra distance and be bob on.
Hot on her heels in the betting comes Scarlett Lady at $6.00 and the money is continuing to come for this Kiwi mare. This Queensland Oaks winner gets her first taste of Caulfield while you can have the Makybe Diva Stakes runner up and ultra consistant Glass Harmonium for $5.00.
Also in the single odds is the Memsie Stakes runner up and 2009 Underwood Stakes winner, Heart Of Dreams $6.00 but a difficult barrier 14 has to be overcome first.
Other key contenders include last year’s Victoria Derby winner Lion Tamer a $17.00 chance while if you are keeping the faith you can have Maluckyday who’s a $21.00 chance to sort himself out and get back to some sort of form.
