Mark Kavanagh’s sprinter Catapulted looks a likely one at $4.60, this track and distance winner was last seen taking fifth in the listed Razor Sharp Stakes at Warwick Farm with Glyn Schofield aboard. Regular partner Michael Rodd takes the ride on Monday and that will only enhance this six year old’s chances of starting the New Year off with a grade 3 under him.
He is joined by fellow fancy Sterling Grove also priced at $4.60 and with a decent record of two wins from four runs at Flemington it would take a brave punter to ignore him.
Others in the frame include Cascabel at $9.00, Zedi Knight who won the Cafe Terroni Xmas Stakes on Boxing Day beating Cascabel at $13.00 and Stephen Brown’s Canali who is also a $13.00 chance.
