The three year olds take center stage for Rosehills first group 2 on Saturday the Stan Fox Stakes and with Choice Words having been
scratched we are left with a small field of five runners headed by the mighty Manawanui at $1.16.
Life can not get much rosier for this Ron Leemon trained talented galloper. He took third on his debut at Canterbury March but it’s been full steam ahead since arriving back at Rosehill after a clean sweep from his four outings.
The Golden Rose was last up on September 10th where his backers were in for a treat as he got the better of Smart Missile in another small field of just six runners. Its 1500m for the first time on Saturday on his way to take on Smart Missile again in the Caulfield Guineas. He will jump from barrier two in what looks a simple task, its my bet that he will be adding the Stan Fox Stakes to his racing career record come Saturday afternoon.
The nearest rival comes with the lightly raced State Of Wealth a $7.50 chance. Three starts with two wins but has not really been tested with the best so it’s into the unknown, Saturday will reveal a whole lot more.
At $12.00 comes Cocky Raider who took sixth place in the group 3 Gloaming Stakes here last weekend while Irish Times is a $15.00 chance and Roma Giaconda the outsider.
