We have a couple of hot pot’s for the group 2 Bacardi Hill Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday, the first in the shape of John Thompson’s Trusting $2.00 who 
arrives straight from his group 2 victory in the Chelmsford Stakes at Warwick Farm on September 3rd.
Not wanting to step him back distance he participates in this supporting race rather than bid for group 1 glory in the George Main Stakes so he steps up to 2,000m here instead where he is quite likely to relish the challenge.
He is joined by Gai Waterhouse’s Tullamore who at $2.80 goes second up after eighth in the group 3 Tramway Handicap over 1400m when resuming. He is one to follow and could be a quality stayer in the making in my opinion.
Hawk Island is one of three for Chris Waller, he’s a 2000m specialist and arrives for his third up. The Warwick Stakes and the Chelmsford Stakes didn’t suit but I have a feeling it’s going to be a whole different game on Saturday. He is $6.50, ignore this one at your peril. Stablemates Stand To Gain and Illustrious Blue are both an outside chance.
Gregory Hickman’s Mirjulisa Lass is $13.00 to get the job done while the rest have it all to do.
