Twelve runners for the group 2 Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on Saturday and this years favourite Testa My Patience looks to be the
bees knees and he comes at a decent price of $3.60.
Trained by Mick Price this five year old is about as consistant as they come over the mile, it would be brave soul to predict it was going to end in tears on Saturday, he looks a worthy favourite to me.
Joining him is New Zealand’s He’s Remarkable at $5.50 who arrives after two wins at home over 1400m and 1600m. Australia last saw this four year old back in April when producing a poor run in the AJC Australian Derby so he’s back to try again over the trip he adores.
Peter Moody’s Luen Yat Forever could spell danger to the rest at $4.80. This six year old ran a good one to take third in the group 1 Toorak Handicap last up on October 8th leaving an impression that it difficult to ignore here.
Of the rest there is Chris Waller’s Triple Elegance to consider at $7.50, this five year old is making his Melbourne debut on Saturday, he has had his share of disappointing runs but who knows, his barrier draw of one and Moonee Valley could be just up his street.
Place betters could do worse than look in the direction of Happy Trails who won over the mile last up at Caulfield and is a $12.00 chance, the Cranbourne Cup third placed Ginga Dude at $15.00 and who could dismiss topweight veteran Danleigh at $15.00.
