This six year old ended with runner up slot in the Doomben Cup in May but his recent barrier trials suggest he is fit and ready to begin.
Stablemates Hawk Island who is a $21.00 chance, and outside chances Illustrious Blue, and Sydney Cup winner Stand To Gain will join him on Saturday.
Last year’s Melbourne Cup runner-up Maluckyday also goes and is a $9.00 chance that he will get conditions to suit after shelved plans from two previous first up runs while Strike The Stars get’s the perfect draw with barrier one and is a $7.50 shot.
Black Piranha looks handy in barrier two and at $8.00 looks just about right after a fourth in the Warwick Stakes and Trusting who took fifth in the Warwick Stakes also looks good at $6.50.
Others from the Warwick Stakes are Startsmeup who took third and is $6.50 here and the mare Sacred Choice who finished seventh and goes as a $9.00 chance on Saturday.
